Bumper Spring!!!!

It has been a very busy spring for us this year, in stark contrast to 2025. The bees have been incredibly busy, we've created two new hives, almost caught a swam in our own garden, built & painted new boxes and harvested over 150 pounds of spring honey over a month before the first harvest of 2025! It was always going to be a better start to the year given the strength of the colonies coming out of winter, but this has blown us away. At this rate we'll have to really start actively selling it and finding good outlets beyond just the honey cupboard and the occasional farmers market or summer fair. If anyone has any good suggestions or has tried our honey and wants to stock some in a local shop, do let us know.

Here are some pictures of the last couple of months. The only downer is a run of thefts from the honey cupboard. Got to look into solutions here, its so soul destroying after all the hard work that goes into it all year round.
